New here? Start in 3 steps

Minago is an AI that learns your writing and drafts posts in your own voice. No coding needed.

  1. ①Start on the web (no install), or install the desktop app.
  2. ②Create your own AI writer from 1–3 of your posts.
  3. ③Give that writer a title and get a full post back.

A developer? Pick CLI, API, or MCP below to automate.

Which way will you use it?

One binary, six ways — interactive TUI (minago), one-line CLI, an app-window GUI (minago gui), MCP to plug into AI tools (minago mcp), a local API for your programs (minago serve), and a no-install web. Open each surface's guide from the cards below, and see the per-task equivalents in the matrix.

Core concepts

Auth, ink, usage, language, errors — just the things worth knowing, whatever surface you use.

What's a writer?

A writer is your own AI that learned your voice from 3 of your posts and writes new posts in your exact voice.

  • First, generate (build a writer) learns from a few of your posts.
  • Then write — give that writer just a title and it drafts a new post.
  • Make several — one per blog or topic — and pick who writes.
Sign-in & auth

All your usage is tied to an account (email + password + two-factor auth). Devices and the web connect to this account and share the same subscription and usage.

How you use itAuth
Terminal (CLI · TUI · API · MCP)Device token — linked to your account once at install
Web (/app)Sign-in session
  • On desktop, link to your account once; after that it's automatic.
  • On the web, sign in and you're on the same subscription.
  • Several devices and the web on one account share usage.
Ink & charging

Minago counts usage in ink. Each subscription plan gets fresh ink every month; whatever is left at month's end expires (no rollover).

  • Reads are free — status, writer list, and details aren't charged.
  • Only writing is charged — building a writer or ghostwriting is charged only when it passes quality and finishes once.
  • Quality checks and failed runs are never charged — a successful post is charged by what it actually used (quality rewrites included).
  • However you use it (CLI, web, MCP, …), it's the same flow and the same charge.
Usage — within your monthly allowance

On a subscription, you can use Minago freely within your monthly Ink allowance — there are no rate limits.

  • A task runs as long as its estimated cost fits your remaining allowance this month; otherwise it's rejected without using any allowance.
  • The terminal and web show how much you have left this month.
  • The free trial has no rate limits either.
Where do finished posts go?

Finished posts are saved automatically to the Library on your device — open them anytime or export as a .md file.

  • Terminal: minago library (list · open · export · rm)
  • App (GUI) & Web: the Library screen on the left
  • The desktop library is kept forever; the web (browser) one is cleaned up after 30 days.
Language & billing market

The language you choose sets your billing market.

  • Korean → billed in Korean won
  • English → billed in US dollars

How you use it, charging, and features are identical in both markets — only the displayed currency and payment method differ.

Errors & codes

When something goes wrong, Minago reports a short code and spells out its meaning and next step on screen.

CodeMeaning
insufficient_balanceNot enough ink this month — switch to a higher monthly plan or wait for renewal
bad_provider · bad_modelYou picked an AI/model that doesn't exist — the valid list is shown
quality_failedDidn't meet the quality bar (no charge — retry with different sources/model)
expiredYour free trial has ended
revokedThe device/account was blocked
transferredIt was moved to another device

When nothing is produced — a limit hit or a failure — no ink is charged.
